Teach Me How To Draw

Can someone suggest a video I could watch to learn how to draw. I been wanted to learn for years but never really got into it. I have my free time on my hands before the semester start back up, so why not learn how to draw. Help a non-drawer out please!

I learned from watching youtube videos. Just type in how to draw and you will see a lot of videos walking you through it step by step.

Thanks for asking this questions. YouTube strikes again! It is just an amazing way to learn so many things. I will definitely try youtube and stay tuned to this thread for any more tips. To be able to draw and create the likeness of things is so empowering and I believe we all have the ability, it just requires the characteristics to bring it out. Patience and the ability to see things as they are.

Wow! You are right Taylor! Making an image like that in MS Paint is superb. I don't think it is possible. And to the person requesting us to help him find a video that will teach him to draw, I guess youtube is all that you need. THere are so many videos out there.

Yes I did. It actually came out looking something like eye in the video, but I had to resize it for an avi.

That is my thought. That's seriously breathtaking for MS paint...amazing work.

Just look around on Youtube and you'll get tons of great free videos of people teaching you how to draw. They cover a very large spectrum as well - from basics on how to get started, to more complex works. It's for MS paint, photoshop, or just a good old pencil and paper. You'd be surprised what you can find with just a little searching .

The best way to learn to draw is to draw something everyday! It is not something you can learn overnight, it takes a lot of practice.
Get a sketchbook and start drawing. You can always post your work on sites like deviantart and get feedback from other artists. If you are looking for a tutorial on drawing something specific I'm sure you could find something on youtube!
