All Ages Most Interesting Aspect Of Geography

I think parts of what make Geography interesting is you get to find out just how big the world really is, and that you are just one tiny, tiny dot on the map. I think it's beautiful how these tiny, tiny dots can all work together to make different countries, a huge part that is actually visible on map, a better place.

What makes Geography interesting to me is that every part of the world has their own culture. The fact that everyone is far apart shows that everyone grew up differently, everyone is guided towards a following a certain culture or belief, or that fact that people practically act differently.

Some live near the ocean, some live on a mountain, some experienced life in the city. Everyone experiences life differently, and that's because of their geographical location.

There are a lot of things to learn from Geography, apart from country names and capitals :) With proper teaching one could learn how the world looked in the past or how wars affected the way it looks today on the map, and this is without mentioning the wonder of finding out just how big our planet really is!

I like comparing different parts of the world and seeing how they relate to each other, as well as observing the contrasts. I'm so used to living in the same location and seeing the same stuff that I forget sometimes how big the world really is and all that comes with it. I would love to travel to all types of geographies and learn a little about its history.

Definitely the way it's connected to history. I've always wanted to collect old maps of places and cities and imagine the tactics and the movements soldiers did and generals decided on when places are being attacked or defended. I've always wanted to observe the history of Japan and China from a geographic perspective - primarily because I have a keen interest for Feudal Japan and Ancient China, and because they have a pretty intriguing history.

As for my case, goography is quite exciting due to the fact that you get to appreciate the diversity ou the world we live in. It makes one to travel to far lands from the comfort of his desk. It also creates tolerance and one develops an analytical mind.

For me at least the most exciting part of geography is understanding you surrounding. It's one thing looking at a hill and whole other thing actually knowing how that hill got there and why it looks like it does.

We just started a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) program at our school and it is amazing! For those that don't know GIS is basically the combination of Geography and Computer Science and so far the kids here have eaten it up. Kids love to look at aerials and find their houses or other landmarks, and when you show them how they can make their very own maps of their neighborhoods or of their vacations they seem to take to it almost naturally, honestly what kid doesn't like to make maps! This also gives kids a chance to get out into the world and do some exploring, which is another thing I think is severely lacking these days.

I personally thin kthat one of the most interesting things are the way that mountains are created, for real, it's one of the most amazing and unbelieveable things ever.

The study of geography can be a truly interesting enjoyable experience. Where cities are around the world all have to do with their geographical location and the choices that were made based upon this geography has effected the world and humankind in a very visceral way. Learning about geography will also make any travel that you do more enjoyable. You will understand why it is hotter when you're Fiji than it is when you're visiting friends in Los Angeles.

location is where it is. The place is what it is like there. Human-environment interaction is how do people respond to the environment. movement is the connection between people and the movement. The region is how a place is divided up.

I think the most important part of geography to me is the Mapping aspect of it, it is quite interesting to be able to tell a story about the world using the world map and making illustrations. I think the Map aspect is the best so far to me.
