Fun DIY crafts?

I have been diving in the DIY world these past couple of months and I find it as a wonderful creative outlet.
Any suggestions for crafts that cost little to nothing?
 
Hi, try doing recycling or upcycling crafts, like that you are resusing things that you have and maybe spend money only on paint and glue and other small things. There are lots of youtube videos.
 
There are lots of DIY crafts available out there, but you have to check which ones would be applicable to the resources you currently have. Personally, I found a video on Youtube about a simple DIY craft and decided to do it because of two reasons. First, I have the resources needed in the video. Second, my niece loves "chick" items, so I created this DIY as a gift last Christmas. The materials are simply old CD or DVD, toilet tissue paper, electric glue and paint or coloring materials. The output is an organizer of hair pins, nail polish etc. See snapshot from Youtube below. Optionally, you may check MissDebbieDIY channel. Please note that I did not exactly follow the DIY instructions since I do not have hole punches like the image below.

I have been doing painting by numbers for 2 weeks now. So far I enjoyed doing it during day offs and weekends.
