Energy conservation lessons

Do you think the grade school students should be introduced to energy conservation for purposes of preserving our planet? There is an ongoing program in some school about ecology that students are being aware of the pollution and global warming issues. The main fare is the recycling of things so that we can lessen the trash from our homes. With the energy conservation it is mostly centered on the use of electricity and I guess it will affect the use of gadgets as well.

Yes, I think it will be a great help if at young age they are introduced on how to conserve energy to preserve our planet. After all they are the one who will be benefited well since it is their generation. Proper education is the key and make them aware and be concern to the mother earth.

Energy conservation lessons is a very good topic to be taught to students. Students should learn how to conserve electricity. They should be taught to put off the lights that are on when nobody is using it.

I agree with this. They should learn on taking care of our environment when they are still young so they could adopt it when they grow old. It could help a lot in our world that quickly change because of global warming. We couldn't stop it from changing but at least we could lessen the effect of it until we are able to recover. It seems that it was impossible to do but preventing is better than cure right? So we could do something about it before it's too late and regret in the future.

Energy conservation is a grave issue. Therefore, I believe kids should be taught about saving energy early on. They should be taught to switch off lights and other electrical devices when not in use. Apart from energy conservation, the kids should also be taught about not throwing food, saving water, recycling upcycling etc.

Hasn't this already been included in school curriculum for years now? We have been educating our children on reduce recycle and reuse for a few years now. They are taught how plastics are detrimental to the environment and how we need to avoid the use of plastic. They have various activities during craft sessions for upcycling and reuse of stuff that normally goes into the landfills. Children are even encouraged to grow more plants in the school campus using recycled containers. Learning this at a young age helps them grow into responsible citizens of the world.

It is imperative for the students to understand the importance of energy conservation . Preschoolers are even trained to practice conservation though play. Students should be mindful of their acts toward the environment and support the school's program related to this. A student who is instilled with values related to energy conservation will serve as a force -multiplier by putting in practice what he/ she learned from school.
