Conscious mind

The intuitive mind seems to not have a problem with accepting and integrating the messages (if any) of dreamtime but our conscious minds will often more than not filter out what our parameters of perception will not allow and the messages can be distorted.

The same can be said for our waking mind and yet again our conscious mind will filter out what the parameters of our perception will not allow, as it cannot interpret the million bits of information we supposedly receive per second.

So is the conscious mind limiting our perceptions or vice versa?

Perspective shapes perception. Our point of view affects the data that we collect from our environment. At the same time, perception shapes perspective. The data that we perceive with our senses affects how we interpret our environment.

It seems that our intuitive mind is more adept at perception, because it does not filter data, as does our conscious mind. Conversely, our conscious mind has a better sense of perspective, since our intuitive mind frequently switches between subjects without trying to connect the dots. When both are present, which is more limiting? It seems to me that the absence of either is the most limiting possibility of all.

I agree. One cannot do without the other so we cannot negate one for the other. Each has its function and when both are present we are more likely to have an inner harmony that allows us to expand the awareness of both.
