Children's Story Idea

I have been working on a children's book which is almost completed. I'm tweaking a few things, and have some illustration to finish. I haven't shown it to anyone, or spoke of the storyline. Thought I could give you a brief outline, and maybe get some input.

Main character is a porcupine who only knows his kind and is getting ready to start school with other woodland animals. He becomes the victim of a bullying. Eventually he makes friends with a skunk, also a bullying victim. The two set out to stop bullying.

That's the idea I'm running with so far..

Your choice of the porcupine and the skunk as your main protagonists? if your idea is to use the imagery of the porcupine and the skunk, then I think you have a good start.
