It is good yo have a graded recitation, to know if the students listens carefully about the discussions. I am once a student and my teacher do that often also.

I think there is nothing wrong about having a relationship of a students as long as they know their limit, and at there age, its an early stage for falling in love, let them be. You as a teacher let yourself as their guidance as a second mother to them.
